Lake of the Ozarks

Lake Ha Ha Tonka sits under old stone ruins, fed by a cold Ozark spring locals say “laughs.” I eased into the cove to hear it for myself, climbed past slick caves and broken limestone, then watched thunder turn the lake mean. My hat flew. My map sank. I followed the spring’s roar back to the boat and pushed off grinning. Some legends don’t need explaining, just respect.

Who is Lucky Jack?

My grandfather, "Lucky" Jack Jones lived the kind of stories families pass down. He crossed the Mojave in a dying jeep, worked his way up the Amazon, prospected in the frozen north, and slipped through the Louisiana bayous with gators at his heels. Wherever he went, he started prepared, fixed what needed fixin'. His story is a reminder that the right tools, steady hands, and a bit of grit can carry a man through anything.

At Lucky Jack, we carry that spirit forward in the gear we make today.

No trailer. No ramp. No motor. Just foot power, a cooler, a chair, a rod, and a nice patch of water. This is not a fishing guide. We are not here to explain every bait, knot, or secret fish whispe...
