The fellows at Woolly Made make this one from thick American full-grain leather and industrial-grade steel hardware. Clip it to a belt loop or bag, and your keys stay where you put them instead of working their way to the bottom of everything you own.
The leather will pick up a few marks, darken, and develop some character along the way. As far as I’m concerned, that only makes it better.
I clipped mine on and stopped thinking about where my keys were.
